Merithew Law is proud to announce the addition of attorney Jake Farrar to the Firm.  Jake is a California and North Carolina licensed attorney based here in Asheville, NC.  He is originally from Tennessee and earned his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt Law School, with honors.  While at Vanderbilt, Jake clerked with the Honorable Curtis L. Collier in the U.S. District Court of Eastern Tennessee and the Securities and Exchange Commission in its Student Honors Program.  For his undergraduate studies, Jake attended Georgetown University, where he graduated cum laude in Economics.

Between undergrad and law school, Jake started an internet marketing company with several colleagues and has continued to be engaged in business consulting and practice, including working with one of Tennessee’s largest outdoor recreation retailers in a general counsel capacity.  Jake will add his experience and abilities to the business law and general counsel services provided by Merithew Law, including, but not limited to, intellectual property, business formation and entity consultation, contracts, and tax law.  To read more about Jake and the application of his skills to the Firm’s practice, read his bio.
